It's light, effective, and durable. I was unsure about the plastic cover at first, but I used some paracord to create a shoulder strap. Now I don't even have to carry it in my hands. You would get the same effect from getting a basic D-ring shoulder strap for any laptop case or shoulder bag.

This axe is AMAZING!!! I thought it might be a bit on the short side for chopping down dead trees, but it's not: It's just right. You can get a nice solid swing with it. It's length makes it long enough to get power and speed but not get caught on other trees nearby. The blade is very sharp and stays sharp. It's a harder metal, so it keeps its edge longer, which is what you want in chopping wood, I think. I got the Fiskars Axe and Knife Sharpener, too, which seems to do a good job. Fantastic!

Don't hesitate if you are considering one of these. This axe will surprise anyone who uses it. I was skeptical until I used it. This is a great tool made in Finland by a very good company. It rocks!
